What's in a name?
DaraGroup takes its name from the dara knot. The word dara is a Celtic word which translates to "oak tree" and has significant meaning and symbolism. The image of the knot itself is reminiscent of the root system of an oak tree. These hardy and deep roots enable the oak tree to withstand harsh conditions over a vast period of time, some in excess of 300 years in fact. Symbolically, the dara knot is an ancient symbol which represents power, endurance, wisdom and destiny; attributes which DaraGroup will endeavor to instill within individual healthcare leaders as well as the organizations they lead.

Chad Wolbers works with individual executives and senior leadership teams to develop strategies for improving both culture and operations. DaraGroup was formed following leadership roles as a Coach-Consultant and Account Leader with StuderGroup.
Additionally, Chad has spent twenty years in various hospital executive roles including serving five years as the President and CEO of a regional referral hospital in the Midwest (UnityPoint Health/Finley/VNA in Dubuque, Iowa) and currently as Interim CEO ro Crescent Community Health Center.
Throughout his career, he has had significant responsibilities relating to ensuring the cultural, operational and strategic success of various types of healthcare organizations during increasingly difficult and complex times, including most recently throughout the COVID-19 public health emergency.
Chad has a BA from Truman State University and a Masters in Health Administration from the University of Iowa.
